Unnerved more by his captor's unstable condition, Bond wondered where he might be taken to when the complex finished its descent, whether it would be another cell, or something worse. He did not like to think of the sort of torture Matan might devise, though there was no doubt in Bond's mind, that whatever it was, it would be utterly sickening, his incarceration had been painful enough already without having to endure more pain, so he hoped it was something as simple as a cell.
