Personality

Kamal Khan's faithful bodyguard, big and tough but none too bright. He was a devoted and fierce protector of his bosses interests in his undying loyalty for Khan's interests. To this end Gobinda played a key role in all aspects of Khan's organisation. He was head of security for the Monsoon Palace; he attended to and organised Khan's palace staff; he was a link in the pipeline that smuggled jewellery across international borders and he was a key participant in placing a nuclear bomb on board Octopussy's Traveling Circus Train.

Involvement

As Khan's bodyguard, Gobinda is involved in the continued pursuit and attempted eradication of Bond. This includes the pursuit of Bond in the tiger hunt through the jungle outside Monsoon Palace and a mid-air fight on top of Khan's private plane. In this final fight Bond gets the upper hand, when he whips an antenna at Gobinda's face. The giant is so stunned that he loses his grip and plummets to his death.
