Strong, steel toothed and very, very big, Jaws was an invulnerable opponent for 007. Although fed to a shark, driven into the roof of a house, thrown out of a train, dropped out of an aeroplane, crashed into a winching station, plummeted over a waterfall and allowed to freefall from space, Jaws always just brushes himself off and carries on with the job in hand, which is killing Bond. The ultimate villain's henchman, Jaws was so popular in The Spy Who Loved Me that he made a return appearance in Moonraker.

Personality

Jaws was the ultimate human tank and brawn for hire, he was perhaps one of the most menacing and dangerous villains Bond has ever encountered. Jaws was practically indestructible, he was thrown from great heights, hit by a pile of rubble, shot at and did a skydive without a parachute and incurred no physical injury. He was remarkably strong and could lift a car with one arm, he was also equipped with some nasty oral hardware, obviously the work of some freakish dentist, who gave Jaws razor sharp steel teeth. His teeth could chew through metal, concrete, human bone and anything that could possibly get in the way. Personality wise, Jaws lacked heavily, with barely any intelligence and social skills, he could carry out only a few simple commands, find, kill, guard etc.

Involvement

Jaws was hired by Stormberg to track down and kill James Bond and Anya Amasova, their trail leading from Egypt to Italy. Jaws tried time after time to kill them both, all times they easily outsmarted him due to his lack of intelligence. Bond tried to shoot him, get him crushed under ancient ruins, electrocute him and throw him into a pool of sharks and nothing could stop him. Jaws was finally trapped inside Atlantis when it was being torpedoed, however he easily escaped and swam off over the horizon.

Jaws was under the employment of Drax during the Moonraker mission, he was used as a henchmen in much the same way as he was by Stormberg. Jaws was ordered to track down and kill James Bond, his many attempts included pursuing him in a cable car and by speedboat on the Amazon river. At the end of the mission, when Drax and his master race were aboard the space station, Bond pointed out that Jaws was not even close to a perfect specimen, so Drax ordered Jaws to leave. Miraculously Jaws changed his tune and turned against Drax, helping Bond and Holly Goodhead defeat him and also assisted Bond in escaping from the destroyed space station.
