The head of Space Division for the Russian military, General
Ourumov (played by Gottfried John) is the next iron-man of Russia.
However, this cold, hard exterior hides the heart of a traitor
who (as part of the Janus group) plans to steal millions of pounds
from the Bank of England before destroying London with a blast
from the remaining GoldenEye satellite.

Personality
A cunning and deceitful Russian General covertly involved with
the Janus crime syndicate and working with Alec Trevelyan. Conceited
in his belief in his own superiority to the Russian government
system. He is involved in various criminal activities and was
responsible for recruiting Trevelyan to the Russian secret service.
Involvement
Ourumov uses his position as a Russian general to infiltrate
the Severnaya satellite installation and steal the GoldenEye weapon
to aid the plans of the Janus Syndicate. Then when Ourumov is
put in control of the investigation of the Severnaya incident,
he transfers the blame by convincing the government that the disaster
was a terrorist action by Siberian separatists. When Russian Minister
of Defense Dimitri Mishkin begins to discover the truth, Ourumov
kills him and attempts to put the blame on Bond. After taking
Natalya Simonova hostage to escape both Bond and the Russians,
Ourumov is killed by Bond in a tense stand-off on Trevelyan's
train.
