Biography
Gloria Hendry had the best of her career in the 1970s, primarily
starring in such martial arts action films as Black Belt Jones
(1974) and Bare Knuckles (1977). Her first big screen appearance
came in 1968's For Love of Ivy, after which she started to make
her name in the early 70s blaxploitation movies, winning roles
in such films as Hell Up in Harlem and Black Caesar (both in 1973).
Her break came with a key role in Roger Moore's first James Bond
film Live and Let Die, after which her career really took off.
However, by the end of the 70s, her appearances were limited to
bit parts and TV roles. She was last seen in the 1996 film South
Bureau Homicide.
