IGN, the popular game and entertainment website, have released details on a possible partnership between Electronic Arts and Microsoft, revealing online capabilities for upcoming EA XBOX games.
"EA is going to bring its games to Live this year. It's finally happening" an unnamed, former EA employee told IGN. Aside from the 4 EA Sports titles allegedly confirmed, EA’s upcoming Bond game “Goldeneye II” planned for a release this year, has been rumoured to be one of the first that will have XBOX Live capability. EA’s latest Bond game, “Everything or Nothing” was restricted to online support for the Playstation 2 console only.
EA and Microsoft have denied any such plans, "EA and Microsoft do not have an agreement for including online capability in EA titles for Xbox," said an EA representative. "We have a solid partnership with Microsoft and many titles in development for the Xbox. Discussions are ongoing."
Information concerning the online capabilities of “GoldenEye II” are expected next month during the highly anticipated game developers event, E3, held in Los Angeles.
