Pierce Brosnan was in London's Leicester Square last night for the UK premiere of his latest film "After The Sunset".
“There’s something about heist films” said Brosnan to
Empire Online. “If you get them right, they can be great fun, and I love this one because it juggles the love story, the comedy, the heist, and the buddy film. They’ve got it right and I think people who come to see it will have a good night.”
Ironically, it was Bond that brought star and director together. Ratner explains. “Pierce came to see me in Vegas while I was shooting Rush Hour 2, and he said 'I want you to direct the next Bond'. And I couldn’t believe it. But he also said 'unfortunately, I have no say in the matter', and of course the Broccolli’s didn’t want me because I wasn’t English, so when I got this opportunity I couldn’t pass it up. Because, well, rarely does an actor come after a director – I’m usually begging the actors to be in my movie.”
Stars of After The Sunset, Pierce Brosnan and Naomie Harris, get all touchy-feely at the film's premiere in London's Leicester Square.
