Following internet reports last week that Pierce Brosnan could possibly return as James Bond for a fifth time due to disagreement between Sony and producers over a new 007, and Sony's ability to pay Brosnan's asking price, the story was plastered across tabloid newspapers.
Entertainment Tonight in the USA claim to have spoken to representatives of Eon Productions and Sony and confirm that the rumours are purely speculation, and Pierce Brosnan will not be signed to play 007 again for "Casino Royale".
According to the show, aired April 5th, the "hunt for the new James Bond continues".
