MI6 first broke the news to the world last month that Croation actor and ER star
Goran Visnjic had been involved in serious talks with "Casino Royale" director Martin Campbell about taking on the famous role of James Bond 007.
Croation news outlet 24 Sata are now reporting that Visnjic is in London for a screentest for the James Bond role next Wednesday. According to quotes from a recent awards ceremony, 32 year-old Visnjic confirmed he is on the shortlist.
MI6 reported in May that he had been in multiple meetings with director Martin Campbell in L.A. throughout March. It is understood that he is a favourite of Campbell to take over from Pierce Brosnan. The decision on casting a new 007 is between producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, studio chief Amy Pascal and director Martin Campbell -
details revealed by Wilson in an exclusive MI6 report.
