British actress Rachael Stirling hit the British tabloid columns yesterday as news of her screentest for a role in the forthcoming James Bond film "Casino Royale" was leaked.
MI6 disclosed yesterday that Stirling had been involved with the role since October 2005.
Now MI6 can reveal that Rachael Stirling shares the same agent as actress Rosamund Pike, who made her blockbuster debut as Miranda Frost in the 2002 Bond film "Die Another Day". Stirling also shares the same agency as Camilla Power - who
screentested the candidate James Bond's throughout 2005.
Stirling, who is the daughter of previous Bond girl Dame Diana Rigg (Teresa di Vicenzo in 1969's "On Her Majesty's Secret Service) is up for the role of Vesper Lynd - Agent 3030. Stirling has the perfect resume for the character as she speaks Russian.
Casting for "Casino Royale" is expected to be finalised this week.
