According to an interview in a Finnish newspaper, singer songwriter Chris Cornell has revealed he has written the theme song to the 21st James Bond film "Casino Royale".
Cornell will also perform the title track. This would make him the first male lead vocalist to perform a 007 song since A-Ha in 1987 for "The Living Daylights".
He was quoted as saying (translated), "I haven´t seen the new Bond fully, because it is still being edited, but I have seen several clips of it. Absolutely amazing movie. Very different than earlier Bonds."
Songs written by Chris Cornell have been featured in several blockbusters such as "Singles", "Collateral Damage", "Great Expectations" and "True Romance". He was a founding member and lead singer of Sound Garden, and as well as a solo career, now heads up rock band Audioslave. His most recent hit is "Be Yourself" (
