Xbox Evolved contacted Activision, the official videogame developer for the 007 licence, about their upcoming James Bond title and the recently rumoured return of "GoldenEye 007" to Xbox Live Arcade.
An Activision rep said, "We have nothing to do with a Goldeneye 007 game, I would think that is Nintendo and Microsoft’s deal."
"Our own Bond game however, from Treyarch is powered by the same technology that made 'Call of Duty 4' and that, along with Treyarch developers 'Call of Duty 5' is coming along very nicely.”
As MI6 has reported from the first announcement onwards, the new 007 game will be heavily focussed on Bond 22, now titled "Quantum of Solace".
The report also indicates that Rareware are developing a new game which is heavily based on the original "GoldenEye 007" title, with just the Bond licenced elements removed. This is apparently being warmed up incase a break-through deal cannot be made with Microsoft and Nintendo to release to ported verion of the 1997 best-selling Bond game to both Wii and Xbox.
