The movie version of the hit musical "Mamma Mia!" was a certified winner when it was released in the summer of 2008, raking in oodles of money even though it was critically slated - reports
IrishCentral.
Given its worldwide success, it’d kind of a no-brainer that a sequel would be in the works, and according to co-star Amanda Seyfried, that’s exactly what’s happening.
"I've been talking to some insiders and it's not something that they haven't been working on. I don't actually know anything other than that,” said Seyfried in England last week.
“I think we all had the best time and we all got along so well. It was like some days it felt like we were just people on vacation. I will do it. And I know Meryl's game as well, so bring it on,” she added.
Meryl, of course, is the great Ms. Streep.
And what of her co-star and leading man Pierce Brosnan?
The Irish actor has spoken of the joys he experienced when making the film, plus he’s developed an incredibly huge Greek fan base, so it’s a good bet that he’d also be on board for another go-round.
