007 Stamps - First Edition Covers
29th October 2007 / 30th March 2008
Royal Mail is marking the centenary of the birth of Bond creator
Ian Fleming with six
stamps issued on 8 January and featuring
different editions of six of his most famous novels. Buckingham
Covers have released special limited edition first day covers
featuring the stamps - and autographs by famous James Bond cast
members!
This action packed, underwater adventure cover is officially
licensed by Fleming Publications. It is postmarked at St Margaret's-at-Cliff,
Kent, where James Bond's creator, Ian Fleming lived. As well as
the standard edition, a limited number of these first day covers
have been signed by Richard Kiel (aka Jaws) and James Bond himself,
Sir Roger Moore.
Diamonds are forever... and so is this classic James Bond
cover. The design, stylish simple to compliment the colourful stamps,
shows luscious diamonds cascading before the faintest hint of
a gun barrel. The cover is postmarked at Mayfair, when James Bond's
creator, Ian Fleming, was born - and you dice on the postmark.
Dame Judi Dench, who plays M in the most recent films, will personally
sign a limited number.
