When a routine exercise in surveillance goes from
bad to worse James Bond, Agent 007 is left with
little choice but to pursue and halt two brothers
who hold a historical grudge with the British Government
and it's people. To complicate matters he has to
prove himself to a new M and avert any threat to
a Euro-summit scheduled for London just three days
away.
Bond’s investigation moves from the surveillance
in Paris to a frenzied night out in London. From
here Bond is sent to Kiev where his talents in
industrial espionage come to the fore as he and
his allies from Interpol battle with familiar faces
from 007’s very recent past. On returning
to London Bond must break agency policy to operate
on British soil in the climax to this story, but
will he go beyond the call of duty?

“Right,” M straightened himself in his chair, “I want a full
report of the surveillance you’ve being carrying out on my desk at six
a.m tomorrow morning.”
“It has been suggested we have little more than two days, Sir.” Bond
knew he had to mention it now.
“Two days until what?” M enquired, rather sharply Bond thought.
“Well that I do not yet know, Sir,” replied Bond.
“Well raise it in your report 007, I’m due for a meet with little
sister [head of MI5] about the impending Euro-summit due on our shores, which
I’m sure you’ll agree should remain my top priority right now.” M
looked to his desk and again looked at Bond’s file. “You were a good
agent for my predecessor, don’t be my disappointment.” Bond got up
and headed out of the office.
