Death Is For Dying

The world around Bond has changed, and so has his duties for Her Majesty. One of the few remaining agents from a bygone era, "Death Is For Dying" initially plunges Bond behind one of his most feared locations - his desk. But despite the new politically correct times, there is still a place for an agent with Bond's skills in the New World when the evil behind the most devastating terrorist attacks in history needs bringing to justice.

He awoke alone. The indentation in the pillow was still there. Her side of the bed was still warm. But she had gone. He looked at his alarm clock. In bright red numerals it said: 7:20. He padded slowly into the living room. A typed piece of paper tuck out of the typewriter. She had left him a note.

He smiled, for a moment, and then it disappeared as his stomach squeezed had with shock and terror. The letter S was about a millimetre higher than the other letters.

Andrew Hixson has been writing for many years, and last year made the highly commended list of the Writer's Forum 2003 Novel competition with his entry. He currently has a synopsis for a Doctor Who story with BBC Books and a proposal for a Doctor Who audio book with Big Finish Productions.
