Biography
Born on a small island in the Baltic Sea, Kristina Wayborn was
a Swedish track champion, race car driver, jockey, animal trainer
and clothes designer before she moved into acting. She started
her acting career with every girl's dream, playing Greta Garbo
in the TV movie The Silent Lovers in 1980, which told the story
of the Hollywood romance of silent stars John Gilbert and Greta
Garbo. Three years later, she was cast in the James Bond film
Octopussy, although she probably gained both parts based more
on her looks than her acting ability. Several TV appearances followed,
including roles in the TV movie Hostage Flight in 1985, MacGyver
in 1986 and a stint in the soap General Hospital as Dr. Greta
Ingstrom in 1987. She now works only occasionally, her last starring
role coming in the 1997 children's fantasy Little Ghost.
