Two Russian MIG fighters on alert for an emergency signal, 19 minutes all though quick was enough time, and that was known to Ourumov to steal GoldenEye.

Use

One of the surviving Severnaya technicians, was critically wounded, but managed to hit the alert button. The MIG pilots on stand by, dashed out to the jets, arriving just as the GoldenEye was detonated. The jets were caught in the electromagnetic radiation and blown to pieces, fragments plummeting down on the Severnaya control centre.
